Cold Lake, AB – Concluding a nearly two decade career in public accounting, Baker Tilly RSG partner Greg Sylvestre is retiring, effective Oct. 31, 2023. Sylvestre has been an instrumental part of the firm and its predecessor, Ross & Sylvestre Chartered Professional Accountants.
Highly regarded as an outside‑of‑the‑box thinker, Sylvestre served as a CPA, advisor and partner. During his time at Baker Tilly RSG, he advised a diverse range of clients, helped establish two new offices and effectively navigated ownership changes. Of particular note, he played an integral role in the expansion of the firm’s Cold Lake office, growing the practice eightfold.

While Sylvestre’s presence at the firm will be missed, his impact and legacy endures. Under the guidance of managing partner Melnyk and her leadership team, the firm will continue to ensure service excellence for all clients. With a clear vision for the future, the firm is well‑positioned to embark on its next chapter of growth.
