The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev) helps businesses across Canada’s most populous region grow in an inclusive, sustainable way. With the launch of a new funding program, the organization is now accepting applications from businesses in Southern Ontario looking to scale, modernize and innovate.
The government-backed program offers interest-free, repayable funding between $125,000 and $10 million, covering up to 50% of eligible project costs. Designed to support companies developing new products, expanding operations or adopting more efficient technologies, this new resource can provide the boost needed to build long-term success for your business.
Eligibility
To access funding through the program, businesses must:
- Be for-profit, incorporated and operating in Southern Ontario for at least three years
- Have between five and 500 full-time employees
- Be able to contribute at least 50% of total project costs from internal or external funding sources
- Provide three years of financial statements and other documentation
Application period
Applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis. Projects cannot start before applying, and all sources of matched funding must be confirmed within 30 days of approval. Projects can span one to three years on average.
