Elora, ON – After more than three decades of service, long‑time Baker Tilly GWD partner Ed Mitukiewicz is retiring. Praised for his dedication, Mitukiewicz helped drive firm growth thanks to his keen ability to address clients’ complex tax needs.
Mitukiewicz worked with a wide range of clients, including entrepreneurs, families in the agricultural sector, as well as veterinary and medical professionals.
Mitukiewicz joined Baker Tilly GWD’s predecessor firm as a CPA in 1989, after receiving his Bachelor of Economics degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. He decided to practice exclusively in tax and went on to complete the CICA In‑Depth Tax Course in 1992. Mitukiewicz became the tax partner in the firm’s Elora office in 1993 and received his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999.
“Alongside his wit and easygoing nature, Ed leaves behind commendable professional achievements as a true expert in the area of tax,” says Baker Tilly GWD managing partner Todd Campbell. “Leading by example with his strong work ethic, Ed embraced the opportunities to grow his career and impact in our market, earning a reputation for addressing clients’ most complex tax needs. We wish him all the best in this next chapter and are grateful for the role he played in helping our firm to become not only one of the largest in the region, but develop a strong record of audit, tax and advisory excellence.”
