
NGen’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Program is now accepting applications for business-led, collaborative projects focused on de-risking, commercializing and scaling advanced manufacturing capabilities in Canada. With up to $35 million in co-investment funding available, this initiative aims to support $87.5 million in innovation-driven manufacturing projects across the country.
Who is this fund for?
NGen’s aim is to help Canadian organizations leveraging advanced digital, materials and production technologies to improve productivity, reduce costs and commercialize new products. The ultimate goal is to enhance competitiveness, create jobs, scale manufacturing capacity and foster sustainable practices.
Eligibility
- Eligible applicants include for-profits, certain not-for-profits, non-federal Crown corporations, Indigenous organizations and other approved entities.
- Applicants must be incorporated in Canada with a value-added presence beyond a sales office.
- Projects must be structured as a consortium with at least two unassociated Canadian partners, one of which must be an SME with fewer than 500 employees.
- No single partner can receive more than 70% of the NGen reimbursement.
- Projects must meet NGen’s four core strategic criteria: collaborative, transformative, applied and enduring.
Funding details
- Project costs must range between $1.5 million and $8 million.
- Up to 40% of eligible costs can be reimbursed.
- All projects must be completed by January 31, 2028.

- Application portal opens: June 25, 2025
- Project intake deadline: August 20, 2025
- Financial due diligence deadline: September 18, 2025
- Final application deadline: September 23, 2025
