Melinda Fleming

Biography

As a partner and practice lead for the Indirect Tax team at Baker Tilly Nova Scotia, Melinda leads a team of indirect tax practitioners who help simplify the application of indirect tax, ensure any tax loss is minimal and discover opportunities for recovery of tax to which clients may be entitled.

With close to two decades of experience in the indirect tax field, Melinda also enjoys teaching, presenting and sharing her extensive knowledge with the tax community. In 2022 and 2023, Melinda was a tutorial leader for CPA Canada's InDepth GST/HST Program. She has also facilitated various CPA Canada GST/HST courses and presented at multiple Canadian Tax Foundation conferences.  

When not being an indirect tax geek at work, Melinda likes to be a geek at home ⁠–⁠ reading, gardening, listening to vinyl records and spending time with her family.
