Vancouver, BC – Baker Tilly WM is pleased to announce Mary Louise Hall and Joel Babich have been promoted to partner. Charting similar paths at the firm, they both arrived in 2018. Since then, Hall served as director, Professional Standards, Audit & Accounting in the Toronto office, while Babich served as director, Professional Standards in the Vancouver office.
Prior to her tenure at Baker Tilly, Hall provided business advisory and audit advice to public and private companies in a wide range of industries. In addition, she spent over four years as the VP of Finance in a government-funded not-for-profit in the health care industry. She was also a partner in a mid-size public accounting firm in Toronto, primarily advising public companies.
Before joining Baker Tilly, Babich gained over 20 years of experience across the professional services, industry and regulatory sectors. He provided transaction advisory and continuous disclosure expertise to companies listed on the NYSE, Nasdaq, TSX and TSX-V. In addition, he spent over a decade focused on public company reporting and advisory services at a large regional professional services firm in Vancouver. He has also provided specialist financial reporting to international public companies in the mining industry.
