Baker Tilly REO appoints two new partners

Winchester, ON – Baker Tilly REO is pleased to announce the appointment of two new partners: Scott Hodgson and Luther VanGilst. These firm veterans are known for leveraging their knowledge and experience to help clients balance wide-ranging objectives in order to achieve their full potential.

Working out of Baker Tilly REO’s Morrisburg office, Hodgson has played a key role in developing and delivering the firm’s assurance and advisory services. His original tenure at the firm ran from 2009 to 2013, but he returned five years later, successfully drawing upon his wealth of new experience. “During his time away from the firm, Scott was the chief financial officer for a not-for-profit organization,” explains managing partner Benjamin Mann. “This experience and Scott’s analytical nature make him a great fit for clients looking to take their businesses to the next level.”

Since joining Baker Tilly REO full time in 2012, VanGilst has been based in the firm’s Winchester office. He grew up on a dairy farm and enjoys applying his knowledge of both accounting and agriculture to a range of client engagements. Recognized in 2016 with the North Dundas Rotary Club Pride of Workmanship Award, VanGilst is known for his deep commitment. “Luther is a huge asset to our firm,” Mann explains. “He is valued for his inquisitive mind, appetite for knowledge, intelligence and dedication to client service.”

“At Baker Tilly REO, we’re dedicated to fostering the professional development of our people, empowering them to pursue their ambitions,” he adds. “Ultimately, this supports the continued growth of both our firm and our clients.”
