Baker Tilly advises Pier-C on sale to an affiliate of Sandpiper Group
Windsor, ON – Baker Tilly is pleased to announce the successful sale of Pier-C Produce Inc. and Pier-C Farms Inc. (“Pier-C”) to an affiliate of Sandpiper Group (“Sandpiper”), with Baker Tilly serving as exclusive sell-side advisor.
Founded in 2000 and operated by co-owners Doug Pearce and Joe Khalil, Pier-C is a leading distributor and grower of carrots, onions, and beets. The company is widely recognized for its high-quality products and premium customer service. Pier-C products can be found on grocery shelves across North America.
Sandpiper Group is a family office and private equity firm focused on private acquisition opportunities and strategic equity investments. This acquisition aligns with Sandpiper’s long-term approach to stewarding the next chapter of remarkable businesses and founder legacies.
