Ottawa, ON – Baker Tilly Ottawa will host a day of giving in memory of Kelly Patchell on Thursday, June 6. A valued member of the firm who was greatly loved by her work family, Kelly was known for generously supporting causes in the community. Whenever an opportunity arose to contribute, she enthusiastically shared her time and talent.
Baker Tilly Ottawa has partnered with The Caring and Sharing Exchange to provide backpacks with school supplies for over 120 children in need from Ottawa and the surrounding area. To extend their impact, the firm has split into 15 teams for a friendly challenge to provide extras for the backpacks, beyond the essential school supplies. The day of giving will see staff get into the spirit with a School Day theme, enjoying a lunchbox meal (such as “The P.A. Day,” “The SandBox” or “The Piggyback Ride”), as well as the opportunity to share a laugh over a guessing game with old school photos.
“Kelly always went above and beyond for any charitable initiative we supported in the community,” says Baker Tilly Ottawa partner Erica Clapp. “We want to honour her legacy with this day of giving, as we know she would have been proud to participate.”
