Biography

Erica received her Honours Bachelor of Commerce, Magnum Cum Laude in May of 2003 from the University of Ottawa and obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2006. Previously a Principal with the firm, Erica became a Partner in 2015.

Erica has over fifteen years of experience providing accounting, audit, assurance and tax services to a variety of clients in both the private and not-for-profit sector. As a well-rounded public accounting professional, tackling new and exciting client challenges every day Erica demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and strong analytical skills under demanding conditions and tight deadlines.

Erica meets with individual clients and audit committees regularly to present financial statements and discuss planning and reporting. An excellent speaker, Erica conducts various external presentations and provides training as an instructor for many internal seminars.

Erica has also held a lead role on the Baker Tilly recruiting team which has also allowed her to provide this service to clients in need of assistance when hiring qualified accounting staff. In this capacity she has performed a variety of tasks, including: the review of resumes, conducting interviews with candidates and participating in hiring decisions.

Beyond the Baker Tilly doors, Erica can be found at home with her family and trying her best to get in a workout or run.
