Baker Tilly in Nova Scotia welcomes formal affiliation with legal practice
Dartmouth, NS – Baker Tilly is proud to announce its formal affiliation with Harbinger Law Inc., an independent legal firm.
In doing so, it has become one of the first accounting consultancies in the province to deliver audit, accounting and tax support that is directly complemented by legal services, all housed under the same roof – at the Nova Scotia office in Dartmouth.
Due to regulatory requirements, Baker Tilly and Harbinger Law must remain separate legal entities. But working together, the two practices will offer a collaborative experience that enhances the value they provide to clients.
Rob Miedema and Amy Gibson Saab will lead Harbinger Law and join the Nova Scotia team as Partners, bringing 26 years of combined experience in the legal industry to this new, multidisciplinary practice.
Harbinger Law provides a variety of legal services, but is primarily focused on estate planning and corporate law, including but not limited to: shareholder agreements, tax-motivated reorganizations, incorporation and succession planning.
“Our firm is committed to offering clients the services they need. This is an important milestone on our journey towards truly integrated client service and we look forward to realizing its full potential,” said Todd King, Partner in Dartmouth. “We are thrilled to welcome Rob and Amy to the Baker Tilly family and are confident that we will be better together.”
