Biography

Sylvain graduated from the University of Ottawa with his Bachelor of Commerce Honours - Co-operative Education in 2000. He has practiced public accounting in Ottawa since 1999, and has been a Partner of the firm since 2012.

Sylvain completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course in 2003, the International Taxation Course in 2007 and the CICA Corporate Reorganization Course in 2010. Sylvain specializes in providing income tax and financial planning advice to proprietorships, partnerships and owner managed corporations. A well rounded public accounting professional who is not afraid to roll up his sleeves, Sylvain focuses on helping business owners navigate the ever changing taxation laws and minimizing tax exposure. He provides a number of tax, wealth, retirement and financial management planning services. He has direct experience helping clients deal with complex compliance and cross-border issues including U.S. tax and international tax issues. Sylvain also assists in identifying and quantifying claims for eligible scientific research and experimental development activities.

Sylvain has been involved for a number of years with Helping Kids be Kids Again, an organization which helps raise funds for organizations dedicated to helping children in need. Since its inception, Helping Kids Be Kids Again has donated all of the funds it has raised to the National Capital Chapter of the Children's Wish Foundation and the Make a Wish Foundation of Eastern Ontario.
