Biography

As a Senior Manager in Baker Tilly Canada’s National Tax Office, Rebecca advises clients and practitioners across the network on complex Canadian and cross-border tax matters, from owner-managed businesses to multinational groups, with a particular focus on how new and changing legislation applies to their circumstances.

In public practice since 2015, Rebecca has built a practice spanning cross-border compliance and reporting, non-resident taxation, private company and shareholder planning, and CRA audit support. She works alongside clients, legal counsel and engagement teams to develop and implement tax positions.

Rebecca has completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program and now facilitates it, supporting the development of tax professionals. She writes and speaks regularly on tax issues facing Canadian businesses, owner-managers and multinational groups, and contributes to Baker Tilly Canada’s national tax publications and technical guides. Before joining the National Tax Office, Rebecca spent her career in client-facing roles at mid-size national accounting firms, working on complex tax matters.
