Biography

Mike graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in 1984 and proceeded to obtain his CA designation in 1987. Mike became a Partner in the Assurance and Accounting Services Department of the Firm in 2001.

Mike specializes in providing assurance, accounting, income tax, and general business advice to proprietorships, partnerships, and owner-managed corporations. A well-rounded public accounting professional, Mike provides practical advice to clients on tax minimization strategies and strategic planning. Mike holds many leadership roles both locally and nationally including leader of our Firm’s internal technology solutions, member of the Firm’s Assurance services group, past chair of a National Technology committee, member of a National Professional Practice Advisory Committee, and other leadership roles.

Proficient with technology, Mike has been involved in the initial selection and implementation of various Firm software tools including the Firm’s file documentation software, document management system, knowledge management system, and practice management system. Mike also has experience in training clients in using different software solutions.
