Biography

As senior manager of Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) and Government Incentives at Baker Tilly Windsor, James Hinebaugh specializes in identifying, accessing and harnessing research and development (R&D) tax credits for clients in the tech sector, with a specific focus on the information technology (IT) and space industries.

With more than seven years of dedicated attention to SR&ED programs, James is well‑versed in the often intricate process of securing government grants and funding. Drawing on his analytical acumen and rigorous educational background ⁠–⁠ notably a physics degree and PhD in mechanical engineering ⁠–⁠ he applies his technical and scientific expertise to provide clients with comprehensive business solutions, particularly regarding tax incentives and strategic advisory.

As co-founder and former president of a company providing 3D X‑ray computed tomography solutions for the additive manufacturing industry, James brings a proven track record of innovative leadership to his role at our firm.
