Biography

Hassanatu is a senior manager in International Tax at Baker Tilly Windsor. She joined the firm in January 2021, bringing more than 10 years of corporate tax compliance and advisory experience, including Canadian inbound and outbound transactions. She has a background in tax accounting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) guidelines, income tax due diligence for merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions and the income tax consequences of equity compensation for Canadian and non‑Canadian corporations.

She obtained her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) United Kingdom designation in 2011 and her CPA designation in 2015. Hassanatu then completed CPA Canada’s three‑year In‑Depth Tax Course in 2019.
