We are looking for a Staff Accountant - Co-op/New Graduate to join our team—a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your role:

  • Preparing an array of accounting/tax engagements such as personal tax returns, corporate tax returns, compilation engagements and more.
  • Communicating regularly with clients to request information and begin to build strong client relationships
  • Attending all regular training for the firm and any external course deemed necessary
  • Staying up to date on relevant accounting standards and changing tax laws
  • Completing various CRA filings for clients as needed including HST and responding to CRA calls.
  • Preparing books and records for clients for the year
  • Managing various deadlines throughout the year 

What you bring to the table:

  • Successfully completed a degree or diploma in business management or administration
  • A desire to enter the CPA program would be an asset
  • 0-2 years of experience in the accounting field
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience with Caseware and TaxPrep softwares considered an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and demonstrated ability to work with other’s effectively as part of a team
  • Understanding of a client-focused fast paced work environment and the ability to effectively pivot between tasks, prioritize and manage deliverables to meet conflicting deadlines

Permanent, Full-time.

Your schedule: 

Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Salary range:
