Your role:
Deliver value to clients by providing knowledge, ideas and solutions for improving their business
Ensure engagements are executed in accordance with the firm’s methodologies and guidance, professional standards, and level and regulatory requirements
Pro-actively lead and coordinate the planning and management of assignments in an efficient and effective manner
Lead practice and professional development initiatives
Ensure team members are properly managed and motivated and that staff needs, including mentoring, training and development, are identified and acted upon
Develop long term relationships and networks, both internally and externally
Manage engagement financials including budgets, WIP, variances and billing
Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions
What you bring to the table:
A Canadian CPA, CA designation
Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience
Strong technical knowledge including Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises and Canadian corporate and personal tax
Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online and/or any other tax preparation software
Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, project management and organizational skills
Professional manner, strong work ethic and ability to consistently meet time sensitive deadlines
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing others to building high performing teams
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships as a trusted business advisor
Strong commitment to professional client service excellence
Business development skills are considered an asset
