We are looking for a Senior Cloud Accounting Specialist to join our team—a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your role:

  • Full-cycle bookkeeping in an integrated cloud-based environment from client supplied records

  • Preparing payroll and related filings, reconciliations, HST returns, financial statements and reports

  • Providing bookkeeping, accounting and software support services to clients

  • Troubleshooting discrepancies, such as resolving issues when transactions are deleted or incorrectly posted

  • Creating comprehensive documentation of bookkeeping processes

  • Performing research, design and delivery of training of new cloud technologies to create efficiencies in existing practices

  • Proactively following up with clients and build positive working environments

  • Effectively responding to requests of queries, and keeping the ream apprised of any potential issues

  • Participating in practice and professional development initiatives

  • Mentoring, training, and developing junior staff

  • Working closely with clients to identify and understand industry trends, key performance drivers, and emerging opportunities

What you bring to the table:

  • Graduation from a postsecondary institution – bookkeeping diploma considered an asset.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with strong bookkeeping skills, preferably in public practice or for multiple clients.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and trouble shooting skills are essential.

  • Advanced experience with cloud-based accounting software. 

  • Ability to change priorities quickly and easily, meet recurring deadlines and take ownership of assigned client work.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • Ability to work efficiently both independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong client and interpersonal skills - our clients mean the world to us.

  • Approachable, supportive team player with a strong sense of urgency and a demonstrated history of achieving common goals.
