Your role
- Assist in planning, execution and completion of a wide range of clients in either the large client Audit stream as part of a team, or the Private Enterprise stream focusing on Review and Compilation (T1, T2, T3, T5) engagements, both independently and as part of a small team.
- Supervise junior staff during field assignments, inform managers of engagement status, and manage engagement progress.
- Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operations procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries.
- Assess risk, controls, operational performance, and adherence to the applicable Financial Reporting Framework..
- Prepare personal, corporate, non-profit organization, and charitable tax returns, if part of the private enterprise team.
- Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints.
- Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships.
- Prepare and review financial statements and related note disclosures.
What you bring to the table
- Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE), at a minimum holding a status of CPA-in-waiting.
- Minimum of three to five years direct experience.
- Experience leading junior staff on client deliverables.
- Project management and strong organization skills.
- Experience with Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, Xero and Quickbooks (QBO) is an asset.
