Your role
- Compilation and review of client information and working paper file preparation
- Year-end planning for various clients
- Supervising engagements and related tax filings
- Identifying and resolving engagement issues
- Training and mentoring junior staff on engagements
- Preparation of complex Compilation and Review Engagement reports
- Ensuring the clients’ satisfaction with the firm’s services
- Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
- Identifying and cultivating new service or tax planning opportunities for client
What you bring to the table
- A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar finance role
- CPA designation or in progress would be considered a strong asset
- Experience managing large engagements
- In-depth working knowledge of accounting and tax
- Advanced accounting, tax, and software knowledge, i.e.: Tax Prep, CaseWare, Sage and QuickBooks
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- As a Leader, you are an active listener, empathetic, and can share clear messages and make complex ideas easy to understand. You can inspire and you are flexible to the needs of other
- Demonstrated team-building skills
- Highly analytical and accurate, attention to detail is critical to this role
- Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation to work independently in a high-volume work environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- A passion for client service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to continually expand one’s professional skill set, learn on the job, take on additional responsibilities as required and respond to and thrive in a dynamic work environment
- Candidates must be flexible to work overtime during peak business periods. Any overtime worked will be paid or recorded as in-lieu time to be taken later

This role is a hybrid position. Candidates must be available to work for a minimum 2 days a week at the Collingwood, Ontario, office.
