We are looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our team to cover a 12-month maternity leave—a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your role:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Conduct background checks and reference checks
  • Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding processes
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
  • Handle paperwork related to employment, such as contracts and benefits enrollment
  • Assisting with payroll processing to ensure salaries are paid accurately and on time
  • Administer employee benefits programs and respond to related inquiries
  • Track and administer overtime and vacation records
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Support the development and implementation of People & Culture initiatives and systems
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, and People & Culture events
  • Prepare and submit reports on general People & Culture activities
  • Support People & Culture committee & task force initiatives
  • Assist in developing shared services resources through the learning management system
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of job descriptions, organizational policies, and operational processes

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in People & Culture or related role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Experience with payroll and benefits administration
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
