A tax partner with over 20 years of extensive public practice experience, Maria has been delivering tax solutions as a partner at Collins Barrow Toronto LLP for the past 3 and a half years. A key member in the Domestic and International tax group, Maria advises private, public and multinational corporations in the areas of corporate restructuring, international tax planning, estate, wealth-preservation and succession planning. Because of her advice and tax-efficient solutions, Maria plays an integral role in structuring many highly profitable business transactions involving mergers, acquisitions and divestitures as well as inbound and outbound investments and business expansions.
As a mom to three, charitable organizations benefitting children are near and dear to Maria’s heart. She takes a particular interest in Aptus, a non-profit organization aimed at assisting children and adults with disabilities, where she sits on the Board of Directors. Through financial support and volunteer work at organizations like Aptus, the Hospital for Sick Children and Wings of Hope, Maria advocates for creating change for children and adults in need of a helping hand.
