It’s important to give back to our community and the firm is committed to developing a strong internal culture of philanthropy. Baker Tilly WM's internal Community Services Group organizes a number of team volunteering activities and fundraisers throughout the year that benefits various charities and our local community.
Team Baker Tilly WM has been out in full force these past couple of months taking part in various charitable activities, here’s just a few of them:
September 9th, 2018: BC Paws for a Cause Walk
It was a rainy day but this didn’t deter our team from taking part in the annual BC Paws for a Cause Walk at David Lam Park in Vancouver, BC. Our team raised $460 for the cause and every dollar raised helps the BC SPCA rescue and care for abused, injured and abandoned animals.
September 11th, 2018: First United Church – Sponsor a Meal
The firm sponsored First United Church’s lunch meal program that enables the organization to provide a hot meal to the vulnerable residents living in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. Our volunteers also volunteered their time to help serve these meals.
October 11th: Ronald McDonald House (RMHBC) Family Meal
Our volunteers prepared a Taco Fiesta dinner buffet for the children and families who are currently staying at the Ronald McDonald House (RMHBC). RMHBC provides accommodation for seriously ill children and their families when they must travel to Vancouver for their child’s major treatment.
Thank you to our staff who took part in these activities by volunteering or donating to the cause. The time and effort contributed was much appreciated by the organizations who benefitted from their participation!
