Ottawa, ON – For the past several years, Collins Barrow Ottawa partner Ken Tammadge has been involved in the fundraising efforts of Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa’s Charity Ski-a-thon. During its 25-year history, this event (which takes place on March 3rd and 4th) has raised over $1.5 million. As one of the Committee Co-Chairs, Ken is bringing local skiers together in an effort to raise $150,000 this year alone.
“We are a group of skiers determined to work together for the youth of our community,” says Tammadge. In a joint statement with Ski-a-thon Co-Chair Brett Fripp, he elaborated on this year’s ambitious fundraising efforts, asking members of the community to help raise funds to “upgrade the out-of-date kitchen at BGCO’s Britannia Clubhouse to maximize the healthy snacks after-school program where kids will learn to cook, develop healthy habits, and perhaps discover a future career!”
