Collins Barrow continues to build momentum having recently added a key new member firm, Nauss Hornby LLP, in Halifax-Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

With offices across Canada, Collins Barrow provides a full range of assurance, tax and advisory services and is competitively positioned as a unique alternative to big four firms.

Lionel Goldman, National Chairman of Collins Barrow and a native Maritimer, is pleased that a firm with their existing market presence and expertise will be representing the organization in the East. "The Nauss Hornby firm is one of the largest independent firms in Atlantic Canada. Their partners and team members are a terrific choice for businesses and organizations of all types who rely on their Chartered Professional Accountants as their most trusted advisors."

"Joining Collins Barrow was not really on the top of our list of strategic priorities," said Mark Marshall, spokesperson for the new office. "While we have been pursued by other Nationals in the past, the business proposition of Collins Barrow surprised us somewhat in that much of what our strategic plan contained was supported or fulfilled through joining them."

"Full lifecycle training for our people, technical support, technological advancement, tax collaboration, access to highly specialized expertise, tools to help our clients grow; we could not be happier with our decision to join Collins Barrow," said Grant Galbraith who spearheaded the due diligence on Collins Barrow and who heads up the Nauss Hornby tax group.

"Collins Barrow and their international affiliates provide regional, national and global reach that in turn helps us provide Nova Scotia businesses with real advantages in a shrinking world. If you review the dramatic growth of Collins Barrow since 2000, you see an organization that is poised to gain even more ground over the months and years to come," said Charles Nauss, one of the founding partners of the firm.

Collins Barrow, a national association of independent public accounting firms, is the 8th largest public accounting organization in Canada and is part of Moores Rowland International (MRI), one of the world's top ten associations of independent accounting firms. Collins Barrow is comprised of 37 offices with over 150 partners and 700 professional and support staff.

One of the key components of the Collins Barrow association is adherence to strict operating and professional standards. Collins Barrow members submit to several different levels of quality control and review. Members use state of the art technology to provide efficient audits and other professional engagements. Members also provide a wide range of consulting services designed to help private companies increase profits, reduce tax liabilities and maximize individual net worth. The organization has a wide range of specialized services including: succession and estate planning, business valuations, litigation support, risk management, strategic planning, profit enhancement, entrepreneurial performance coaching, industry based financial performance benchmarking, assistance with Scientific Research and Experimental Development tax credit claims and corporate financing and more.
