Toronto, ON – Collins Barrow National is pleased to welcome delegates from Baker Tilly International to Toronto for the network’s 2018 World Conference, beginning this week.
Baker Tilly International is a leading global network of independent public accounting and business advisory firms. Its annual World Conference, running this year from Oct. 26-30 at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, brings together professionals from 125 firms around the world. United by the vision behind this year’s dynamic theme, “Now, for tomorrow,” the network will look to the future and engage in meaningful dialogue about the issues affecting clients and the industry at large.
Featuring keynote speaker Chris Hadfield, renowned Canadian astronaut and the first Canadian Commander of the International Space Station, the five-day conference is an opportunity for delegates from around the world to partake in value-driven group meetings, workshops and forums, as well as share significant network announcements.
Since 2009, Collins Barrow National has been the Canadian representative of Baker Tilly International, which empowers its member firms to maintain their entrepreneurial culture and independently manage their own businesses, while accessing global resources to meet the ever-evolving needs and expectations of clients and talent.
“We’re honoured to welcome our international colleagues to Canada and to collaborate, share insights and ultimately enhance the value we can collectively offer our clients around the world,” said Grant Galbraith, chair, Collins Barrow National. “Our progressive relationship with Baker Tilly International is unique and foundational to our success as an independent network – affording us and our clients global reach, resources and opportunities, without compromising our fiercely entrepreneurial, all-Canadian structure. It is truly the best of both worlds, and we are delighted to continue to advance our active role in this innovative, world-class network.”
“This year’s highly anticipated World Conference represents the beginning of a dynamic next chapter for our network, as members from around the world gather in Canada to collaborate, share expertise and embrace our theme of ‘Now, for tomorrow,’” said Ted Verkade, Baker Tilly International CEO and president. “With the strength of our global membership that spans 147 territories, we are looking to the future as a united network, eager to build on our deep commitment to provide exceptional service.”
