
BT appoints new associate national director of Professional Practice
Richmond Hill, ON – Baker Tilly Canada has named Elizabeth Richards as the new associate national director of Professional Practice. The Professional Practice team keeps member firms current through the provision of templates, training, publications and webinars, peer reviews, conferences and technical expertise.
In her new position, Richards plans to develop and deliver solutions and resources that anticipate the needs of the network. “This will include assistance with training, implementing new processes and programs and facilitating knowledge sharing from coast to coast,” she says. “As the associate national director of Professional Practice, I will also work on the advancement of data analytics and emerging technologies, identify opportunities for our vast network and organize various conferences, knowledge forums and seminars to ensure the continuous development of our professionals.”
National director of Professional Practice Jim King spoke enthusiastically about the expertise Richards brings to her new role. “During her 12 years working for a small accounting firm in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Elizabeth gained an invaluable depth and breadth of experiences as a financial professional,” King explains. “She has developed an advanced understanding of mentoring and coaching, IT solution implementation and technical standards.
