Leamington, ON – Baker Tilly Trillium would like to congratulate five professionals who have demonstrated the breadth of technical expertise, service excellence and entrepreneurialism to take on senior leadership roles at the firm. Lee Tessmer has been promoted to tax partner, Michelle Boutros and Shannon McCormick have been promoted to partner and Calvin Dawson and Benjamin Wiens have been promoted to principal.
New tax partner Lee Tessmer joined the firm as tax principal in September 2021 – and he made an immediate impression. Upon his arrival, he took over leadership of the Tax group with the guidance and support of the partnership. In his new role, he will continue to lead, develop and grow the firm’s Tax group, while also taking the lead on establishing BT Trillium’s valuations practice with the assistance and oversight of Chartered Business Valuators in other BT member firms.
Based in the firm’s Leamington office, new partner Michelle Boutros has demonstrated a strong commitment to BT Trillium, regularly contributing to its growth by bringing in new clients and maintaining a strong commitment to all her clients. As a mentor to staff, she oversees learning and development at the firm, and she is always looking for new ways to develop talent. New partner Shannon McCormick has also demonstrated a focus on the next generation, helping build and maintain a positive culture in the firm’s Essex office. In addition to helping the firm attract, retain and develop top talent, she has exceeded client expectations with her technical expertise in audit and advisory.
Both new principals in the Leamington office have demonstrated a commitment to growing the firm’s client base, while also offering valuable mentorship to staff. Thanks to his strong technical knowledge, Calvin Dawson is now leading key client engagements. He has also continued to grow his understanding of corporate and personal tax. Meanwhile, Benjamin Wiens has emerged as the area’s leading expert in AgriStability and other farm programs, helping clients in the agriculture industry access valuable funding opportunities.
“From helping clients seize new opportunities and expanded service offerings to developing the next generation of talent, all five of these professionals have demonstrated their dedication to growth and service excellence,” explains Baker Tilly Trillium managing partner Patrick Ouellette. “We look forward to their further impact on our firm, as we support clients with their evolving needs, ensuring they continue to thrive.”
