Baker Tilly Ottawa supports Jen Muckler’s charitable triumph

Nov 6, 2019

Ottawa, ON – Jen Muckler is a marketing and business development coordinator at Baker Tilly Ottawa, but over the past four years, she has made a significant contribution to her community as the founder of Pyjama Patrol. This organization has a simple, but important goal: give kids in need the comfort and security they deserve for a good night’s sleep.

With the holidays fast approaching, Pyjama Patrol is kicking off its next campaign on Nov. 16, and Baker Tilly Ottawa will serve as a donation drop-off site. In addition to new pyjamas, donors can submit a variety of other new items, including books, blankets, socks, underwear, toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Knowing many children in need are forced to go to bed without sleepwear (some sleep in their clothes, while others sleep in nothing at all), Muckler launched Pyjama Patrol in 2015. “The continued support of our community has been an inspiration, and our efforts to give kids what they need to dream big have grown to match this generosity,” says Muckler. “We are proud to say we have supported over 20 local organizations and elementary schools, contributing more than 10,000 new pyjamas to families in need.”

After successfully assisting the Kanata Food Cupboard in 2015, Pyjama Patrol expanded its efforts, growing into a year-round initiative.

Collection efforts for the 2019 holiday campaign run from Nov. 16 until Dec. 15. During that time, contributions can be brought to Baker Tilly Ottawa at 301 Moodie Drive, Suite 400. For a complete list of drop-off locations, please visit www.pyjamapatrol.com/drop-off.
