What’s your background?
Much of my early career was in retail banking where I was given many opportunities to learn along the way and be part of something bigger than myself. In the last 12 years of providing advice to clients – in partnership with accounting professionals – I’ve built on that foundation to become a valuable resource for my clients and coworkers.
What keeps you busy outside the office?
I love a good game night with friends or family, and I have young nieces and nephews who provide endless joy and amusement.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
I was invited to attend the wedding of a client’s daughter and in his toast as the father of the bride, he thanked me for helping their family. It really drove home how integrated these relationships are, and I’ve rarely been prouder of my career choice.
What advice would you give someone starting a career in your field?
Be open to where the path takes you. Advice comes in many forms. If you keep the client’s best interest first and foremost in your mind, you’ll have a successful professional journey that will make you proud.

How would you describe your contribution to Baker Tilly Windsor?
I’ve been able to introduce a service line that fills an important advice gap. Since it’s integrated with the work of accounting professionals, this service line gives clients integrated advice without forcing them to do the heavy lifting themselves.
If you weren’t in your current job, what profession would you pursue?
I believe everyone should have a foundation of financial knowledge, and I would like to help provide that by teaching high school students.
What does “Now, for tomorrow” (Baker Tilly’s mantra) mean to you?
It ties in very well with the message I have regarding financial planning. You must know your starting point, plot out your dreams and know how best to achieve them.
What does the future hold for you and your profession?
The future looks bright to me, and I plan to engage with my clients for the long haul. With technology stepping in to help with data, we are always discovering new potential, which puts us in a better position than ever to make life easier for clients.
