Biography
Thomas received his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Guelph in 1999 majoring in Agricultural Economics. Thomas joined Baker Tilly GWD in 2001 as an articling student, obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2005 and became a partner in 2011.
Thomas has a wide range of experience in assurance, tax and consulting services with a particular focus in owner-managed businesses in the agricultural/agribusiness, trades and manufacturing sectors. Thomas has employed this experience to write many articles for Baker Tilly/Collins Barrow publications over the years.
Thomas is an active member in the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA) - currently serving as the treasurer for the National Board of Directors. He is also on the board and the treasurer of the Fergus Elora District Soccer Club.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, coaching, reading, travelling, and sports.
