Biography

Stefan is a registered CPA with more than 15 years of experience in assurance, accounting/advisory and tax, helping clients ranging from small owner-managed businesses to larger corporate companies. He has worked with organizations in a wide range of industries, including transport, retail, construction, food and beverage, wineries, agriculture, co-ops and not-for-profits. With the benefit of his diverse experience, he provides value-added client service and builds strong client relationships.

Stefan graduated from the University of South Africa in 2009. He obtained his accounting designation in 2016 while working for a small owner-managed audit firm in Cape Town. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 2019 and settled in Halifax, where he joined a national firm as a manager in assurance. In 2021, he joined Baker Tilly Nova Scotia.

Outside of work, Stefan enjoys playing golf, hiking with his family and having a good braai (BBQ) with friends.
