Shawn Rankin CPA CA

Biography

Shawn joined Baker Tilly Victoria’s predecessor firm in 2010 and became a partner in 2015. He has more than 20 years of experience providing Canadian and advisory services to mostly local clients across a variety of industries. 

Originally working in audit, Shawn moved to general practice in 2010 where he focused on small owner operator businesses and their families. He has a strong understanding of the issues facing Canadian owner-managers affecting both individuals and corporations. This includes Review engagements and estates. 

Shawn is a graduate of the University of Victoria (2004) and the University of Saskatchewan (2006). He received his CA designation in 2008) and has completed the Canadian In-Depth Tax Program.

Growing up in Victoria, Shawn was involved in the family greenhouse business in Strawberry Vale. Shawn is fluent in Spanish and speaks it at home with his wife and two sons.
