Biography

Scott began his career in Forensic Science, which he studied at St Mary's University in Halifax, before transitioning to entrepreneurship in his mid-20s. Over the years, he owned and operated multiple businesses across various industries, including sportswear, promotional items, and imprinted apparel. In 2011, Scott shifted his focus to financial planning and spent 13 years with IG Wealth Management, where he held several roles, including Director, Manager, Financial Planner, and Advisor.

In 2021, he earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, the gold standard in the financial planning profession.

A dedicated family man, Scott enjoys spending time with his teenage son, Zach, and their loyal dog, Marvin. Together, they enjoy hiking, geocaching, and a wide range of outdoor activities. As avid sports enthusiasts, they can often be found at a field or arena, either participating in or supporting various sports.

Soccer plays a significant role in Scott’s life; he coaches Zach's competitive team with Peterborough City and serves as a local referee, having previously held a provincial referee certification. In his free time, Scott finds peace in quiet moments by a campfire beside the lake.
