Biography

Sandi Fitzsimmons is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Partner of Baker Tilly Nova Scotia’s BTA team. She graduated from Saint Mary’s University in 2011 and earned her CA designation in 2012. With experience in public practice, industry, and entrepreneurship, she brings a deep understanding of what it takes to “keep the lights on” for small and medium-sized businesses.

Over her career, Sandi has led finance transformations in small business environments, modernized systems, strengthened reporting, and dramatically improved cash flow and decision-making for owners. She has also helped build and scale cloud accounting services, focusing on standardizing processes and delivering high-quality, technology-enabled support.

At Baker Tilly, Sandi focuses on business advisory and cloud-based accounting solutions that give clients clarity, confidence, and better information for decision-making. She is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation in accounting, and building highly engaged teams where people feel they belong, are valued as individuals, and can see the impact they make for clients and for each other.

Sandi lives in Dartmouth with her young family. Outside of work, she volunteers with community organizations, is an avid gardener, and enjoys getting outside for walks with her dog.
