Sam Okkema CPA CA

Biography

After 14 years with 3 other national accounting firms, Sam joined Baker Tilly GWD LLP (formerly Collins Barrow) in the fall of 2000 and works in the tax department as a Senior Tax Manager. He regularly assists clients across various industries with personal, business and international tax planning and compliance issues including corporate restructuring, SR&ED compliance, and Canadian & US filing obligations. 

Sam received his Bachelor of Business Honours degree in 1986 from the University of Windsor. He earned his designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant in 1990 and has completed the CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course.
