Rob Alsop CPA

Biography
Rob joined the firm in 2015 after completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Guelph. He qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2018.
After spending two years as the Business and Finance Manager at a local craft brewery, Rob returned to the firm in 2021 bringing with him some industry relevant experience that he can apply to his client work. Rob’s expertise is in providing tax and advisory services to small businesses in manufacturing, construction, and professional service businesses. He also has extensive experience with non-profit organizations such as community service organizations.
Rob is leading the promotion and growth of the office’s BT Advantage service line, using his past industry experience to help provide outsourced internal accounting services to clients in a range of industries.
Raised in Collingwood, Rob is actively involved in the community both in the past volunteering his time with Elephant Thoughts, the Collingwood Youth Centre, and Collingwood Minor Hockey and currently as Treasurer of the Blue Mountains Bruce Trail Club and Rescue 1 at a Time animal rescue.
Forever a hockey fan, Rob stays active through organizing summer and winter men’s hockey games, as a member of the Flesherton Men’s Hockey League and as an avid golfer in Collingwood and surrounding area.
