Biography

Rakesh is a partner at Baker Tilly Nova Scotia, advising and assisting organizations with acquisitions, mergers, management buyouts, growth planning and restructuring. With more than 40 years of experience, he has assisted in hundreds of transactions relating to all aspects of corporate finance, including securing debt and equity financing, as well as sell-side and buy-side mandates.

Rakesh established and led a boutique business advisory and assurance firm in 1984 dedicated to making businesses more valuable and developing relationships with clients that extended beyond a traditional accounting role. He found a natural partner in what is now the Baker Tilly Nova Scotia team, who support clients as holistic business advisors and aspire to exceptional service excellence. The two firms merged in 2018.

Rakesh was the recipient of the Associate Alumni of the Year Award, Saint Mary’s University (2020).
