Paul Schmidt CPA CA CITP

Biography

Paul Schmidt joined the firm in 1990. In 1998, he was promoted to Manager of the firm's Information Technology Group then to Partner in 2003 and most recently, to Chief Operating Officer (COO) in June 2020. 

From 1990 to 1995, Paul gained in-depth industry knowledge through audits performed for clients in various sectors and performed specialized winery audits for the BC Liquor Distribution Branch. His responsibilities included overseeing all facets of the firm's information technology operations including network operations, administration, software and hardware selection, troubleshooting, user support and firm education. 

As Baker Tilly WM's COO, Paul is tasked with providing operational leadership to the functional areas of the firm and will help to ensure that strategic plans are implemented at the firm and partner level. He will continue to have a significant role in the integration of our firm’s Vancouver and Toronto offices.
