Biography

Melissa delivers strategic financial leadership that helps businesses optimize performance, drive sustainable growth as well as assisting clients with accounting and tax related matters. With expertise in accounting and tax, business strategy, process improvement, and financial management, she provides clients with the insights and structure needed to navigate complex challenges and achieve their goals.

Being with Baker Tilly since 2016, first as Chief Financial Officer then Partner, Melissa oversees financial, strategic, and operational initiatives along with assisting clients with their advisory, accounting and tax needs. She began her career after earning an Honours degree from Laurentian University and obtaining her Chartered Accountant designation in 2012. With experience spanning both public and private accounting across multiple industries, she brings a well-rounded approach to financial stewardship and organizational success.

Beyond her professional role, Melissa is actively engaged in her community, serving as treasurer for the Health Sciences North Foundation. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, golf, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband Phil and two daughters Ella and Abbey.
