Maxine Laforest CPA CGA

Biography

Maxine Laforest is a graduate of both Cambrian College and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Applied Degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Information Technology. She obtained her CPA and CGA designation in 2010. Maxine joined the firm in 2003 and became a Partner in 2021.

Maxine has a passion for technology and has been extensively involved in the shift toward cloud-based accounting technology. Maxine has gained extensive knowledge in this area, specializing in evaluating various technology options, assisting clients in identifying issues, helping to find the right solution, and assisting with implementing the solutions. This evolved into becoming a leader of Baker Tilly Advantage.

Throughout her career with Baker Tilly, Maxine has gained diverse expertise that includes accounting and assurance, entrepreneurial services, bookkeeping, succession planning and personal and corporate tax planning services and has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including private sector consulting, professionals, construction, retail and services.
