Biography
An experienced accountant – particularly in the field of finance – Jeffrey works with dozens of Canadian and foreign firms in a variety of industries, including real estate, manufacturing, information technology, entertainment and not‑for‑profit. He helps companies large and small obtain financing in a variety of innovative ways, such as alternative debt arrangements, private equity, venture capital, as well as government financial assistance programs. Jeffrey also carries out due diligence mandates on behalf of both sellers and buyers.
Regularly invited to lecture and lead seminars at various banking groups, Jeffrey speaks to industry associations and other professional bodies on corporate finance, as well as alternative government financial assistance and incentive programs.
Jeffrey graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in 1975 and received his CPA designation from McGill University in 1978. He served as senior partner in the corporate finance and government financial assistance group of a prominent Montréal accounting firm for several years, eventually joining Baker Tilly Montréal’s predecessor in 1999.
