Jeff Trost CPA

Jeff joined Baker Tilly in Calgary in 2025. He has over 10 years of experience providing Canadian tax compliance and advisory services to both domestic and international clients across a variety of industries. 

Originally working in audit and accounting at a national mid-market firm, he moved to tax full time in 2017 where he specialized in working with owner-managed businesses, investment funds, real estate developers and operators, and medical and legal professionals. He has a keen understanding of navigating the complexities of the ever-changing tax compliance requirements, and providing tax advisory services for clients’ businesses, including succession and estate planning. 

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Calgary (2014). He received his CPA designation in 2017 and completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program in 2020. 

Jeff lives in Calgary with his wife. He has previously been the treasurer of a local car club, and has been a guest lecturer at post secondary institutions on not-for-profit management and personal finance.
