Biography

Janet graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1986, obtained her Certified Management Accountant degree in 1992 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994 and received the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999. Janet joined the firm in 1987 and became a Partner in 1999. In 2017, Janet was recognized as a Fellow of CPA Ontario, the highest professional honour, for her career achievements, contributions to the community and service to the profession.     

Janet provides assistance to clients in many areas including audit, accounting, tax planning, financial consulting and general business consulting.

Active in the community, Janet has served as Director and President of the Kinette Club of Collingwood and as Treasurer of the Southern Ontario District Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs as well as Deputy Governor of the local Zone area. She was a member of the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for four years. Janet is a past Board Chair of the Centre for Business which provides financial and mentoring support to small business in the Georgian Triangle area. She continues to serve on the Loans Committee. Janet also served on the Conduct Committee for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario for 11 years, the last three as Deputy Chair.
