Biography

Deron completed his B. Comm at the University of British Columbia before joining a National firm in 1989. In 1992, Deron joined Norgaard Neale Camden Ltd. which later became Collins Barrow Victoria Ltd. in 2014 and then Baker Tilly Victoria Ltd. in 2019.

Deron became a principal of the firm in 1997. He is in charge of the firm's Audit and Advisory department as well as provides accounting, income tax and related services to individuals, small and mid-market companies, and professionals and their practices.

Deron is actively involved in the community. He is the Treasurer of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada - Capital Region Chapter and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia's Mid-Sized Firm Forum. As well, Deron organizes a volunteer tax preparation evening for the Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre. Deron has been an Active member of the Uplands Golf Club since 1985 and has sat on the Finance Committee.

Deron was raised in Victoria and has two daughters. Deron keeps active by pursuing his interests in golf, hockey, skiing and running. In addition, Deron volunteers for the Carnarvon Ball Club and coaches girls softball.
