Biography

Passionate about the success of her clients and focused on results, Denise Jones provides her clients with coaching, cash flow analysis and assistance with corporate financing. She takes pride in understanding the individual needs of her clients to structure tailored solutions that address their business challenges.

After graduating with an honours bachelor of commerce degree from McMaster University, Denise began her career at KPMG LLP and earned her chartered accountant (CA) designation in 1993. She joined Baker Tilly KDN LLP (previously Collins Barrow Durham) in 2001, becoming a partner in 2003. In addition to serving clients from a wide range of industries including non-profit, real estate, farming and agriculture, as well as unionized environments, Denise oversees operation of the firm as part of its Management Committee. She also contributes to the success of the Baker Tilly network at the national level through her participation in Baker Tilly Canada’s Co-Operative Management Committee and Board of Directors.

In 2016, Denise was awarded the distinction of Fellow (FCPA), which formally recognizes Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) who have rendered exceptional service to the profession and in their communities. Earning the prestigious FCPA, FCA designation from CPA Ontario, she joins the ranks of a special group of CPA, CAs, who through their outstanding achievements, including community leadership, bring distinction to the accounting profession and serve as role models.

In her spare time, Denise enjoys outdoor adventures and can usually be found hiking, paddle boarding or kayaking with her family and their two dogs.
