Chris Russell CPA CGA CBV

Biography

Chris joined Baker Tilly Rockies LLP in 1999 from a public practice firm in Calgary. She previously worked in industry in construction and oil and gas before finding her calling in public practice and being drawn to the mountains.

Her career was primarily forged with the firm, being promoted to manager in 2003 and then admitted to partnership in 2008. Her dedication to the staff and clients of the firm and her quality of service led her to being appointed as managing partner in 2023 to run all aspects of firm business as her primary responsibility.

Having the diversity of public practice and industry experience, from advising to operations, Chris also still provides services to a few key corporate groups and heads up the firm’s business valuations practice. 

Chris obtained her Certified General Accountant designation in 2001 and completed her Chartered Business Valuator designation in 2015. 

When not in Canmore, Chris adventures when and where she can primarily with her bikes loaded in her “home away from home” camper van, named Hazel.
