Biography

An accomplished tax partner, Abe draws on a rich, multi‑disciplinary background in taxation and business valuations to help him plan and implement unique solutions for his clients.

Placing his emphasis on owner‑managed businesses, Abe helps his clients with corporate reorganizations and has extensive experience in estate and cross‑border tax planning. He regularly works with the IT industry and has also successfully represented clients in valuation disputes with taxation authorities.

Prior to joining Baker Tilly Montréal in 1999, Abe was a partner in the Taxation Services department of another prominent Montréal accounting firm. Abe writes on tax issues for numerous newspapers and professional publications. He has been a tax lecturer and seminar leader and has also taught for McGill University’s CPA program.
