Your role 

  • Preparation of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with firm and professional standards for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprises
  • Auditing financial statements of business clients as a Senior Auditor and being the lead on mandates (Senior roles ONLY)
  • Providing accounting and tax compliance services to private clients for compilation and review engagements
  • Preparing personal tax returns and trust returns for clients
  • Communicating effectively with clients, government agencies and with partners and staff
  • Providing guidance and training to other staff members
  • Identifying issues and opportunities
  • Assisting with special mandates such as valuation estimates, due diligence work, business investigations, accounting for corporate reorganizations, etcetera
  • Other related duties

What you bring to the table  

  • 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting, including audit
  • CPA designation (or in process)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership and client relations skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications,
  • Experience with CaseWare and Tax Prep is an asset
  • Bilingual
